Dear Delegates and All Participants,
The 7th International Conference on Smart Materials and Nanotechnology in Engineering (SMN2019) will be held in Harbin, China from September 20th to 23rd, 2019.
SMN2019 is 7th of the series of successful international conferences that encompasses and bridges the rapidly evolving smart materials and the cutting-edge nanotechnology for various applications. This conference has been promoted since 2007 by Prof. Shanyi Du and Prof. Jinsong Leng, from Harbin Institute of Technology (China). Past Conference venues have been Harbin (China, 2007), Weihai (China, 2009), Shenzhen (China, 2011), Gold Coast (Australia, 2013), Vancouver (Canada, 2015) and Madrid (Spain, 2017).
Smart materials are an important type of materials capable of self-sensing, control and actuation functions, which have been widely applied in many fields like aerospace, aviation, warship, architecture, civil engineering, and advanced manufacturing. With the rapid development of nanotechnology, the hybrid combination of nanomaterials and smart materials is emerging as a hot and frontier topic in recent years, and related research and applications in intelligent bionics, biomedicine, robotics, flexible electronics and etc. continues fast growth.
SMN2019 aims at providing a comprehensive forum for discussing current state of the art of Smart Materials and Nanotechnology as well as developing future ideas on a multidisciplinary level, with emphasize on integration of smart materials and nanotechnology. The conference will bring together the best research and applications on smart materials, structures, and nanotechnology, and will be attended by leading international experts from both academia and industry.
Harbin, geographically located in the north of China, is an exciting, vibrant and clean city, and warmly welcomes you to SMN2019. Moreover, you can enjoy good weather and wonderful Autumn colors in Harbin in September.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Harbin.
Selected papers will be published at the Special Editions of the two Journals after regular review processes:
(1) Journal of Intelligent Material Systems and Structures (JIMSS)
(2) International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials (IJSNM)
We may publish SMN2019 conference proceedings in SPIE based on peer review results and the number of full-length articles, which will be included by the database Engineering Index.
If you are interested in submitting a full-length paper for EI conference proceedings, please reply to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The final decision will be made depending on the final numbers of people agreed. The submissions system and instructions will be announced onced determined. Please don't submit your full paper to the SMN2019 system now.
